Novice Age Group I Age Group II Age Group III Senior I Senior II National
Swim Level- Age Group I
The main focus of this group is to familiarize the swimmer with competition and swim seasons. Swimmers will continue to perfect the technique taught in the Novice program. Swimmers will gain more endurance as practices will be longer and more frequent.
AGE-GROUP I: Swimmers aged 6-11 that have completed the Novice program.
Practices are offered 4 days per week for 1 hour and 20 minutes
Competition is optional, but recommended
Advancement Suggestions - Age-Group I to Age-Group II
Achieve F1 Status, Achieve 3, 9-10 age “Q” times, and complete the IMX Challenge* events for the 9-10 age group (200 IM, 200 Free, 100 Back, 100 Breast, 100 Fly)
Most of the advancement criteria are suggestions. The final decisions will be made by the coaching staff on a case by case basis. There are many factors to consider and swimmers may be moved up to the next level that may not have achieved all advancement suggestions.
Swimmers completing the advancement suggestions for movement into Age-Group I, II and III will move only during the first two weeks of the succeeding session.Swimmers completing the requirements for movement into the Senior Competition I group may only switch groups in September and March.
